It depends on the size and complexity of the structure. As a guide, a 6m x 3m lean-to veranda with a glass roof would typically take one day to complete. If the veranda was to have fixed glass panels on both sides and sliding glass doors on the front, this can be expected to take two days.

We stock RAL7016 Anthracite Grey and RAL9016 White as standard, but we also stock mill finish (unpainted) so we can powder coat to any RAL colour, ensuring it matches your space perfectly.

All of our structures have a concealed unique integral rainwater management system. The aluminium gutter is concealed behind the front fascia, and the water drains away via a plastic downpipe which is hidden inside the posts of the structure. The downpipe exits the post just above ground level via a hole cut in the post, which enables the water to run off onto the patio, lawn or adjacent flower bed.

This will really depend on the type of roof sheets you choose. Clear glass transmits 89% of visible light, so the light loss inside your home will be minimal and barely noticeable. If you choose a ‘clear’ polycarbonate roof the amount of light transmitted is 85%. Opal and bronze can block higher amounts of light but we will always discuss these details with you when you choose your product.

No, the roof on a veranda and canopy are fixed. The roof on a pergola is made up of louvres which can be rotated open and closed.

In short, a veranda and a canopy are very similar. A veranda is always a ‘lean-to’ type structure with a single slope roof that is attached to a building. A canopy is a free-standing structure. The roof of a canopy can be a lean-to type roof (called a mono-pitch roof) which has a gutter along one side, or an apex roof which is a roof with two slopes that form an ‘A’ shape with the ‘apex’ being the high point where the slopes meet in the middle. An apex roof has gutter on both sides.

A pergola has a flat roof, and can either be connected to a building or be free-standing. The roof is made up of aluminium louvres that can be rotated to open/close depending on the weather conditions. The louvres are controlled by either an electric motor or a manual winding rod.
